Introducing the new & improved SKU Library in Shipmate

We’re thrilled to announce some big improvements to one of Shipmate’s most powerful features: the SKU Library (previously called SKU Inventory).

The new name better reflects what this tool is designed for, providing a central library of product information to streamline your shipping processes.

What is the SKU Library?

The SKU Library is your single source of truth for product details when shipping with Shipmate.

Instead of manually re-entering product data each time you create a shipment, you can store all the key details about your products in one place, ready to use across the platform. This is particularly valuable for international shipments, where accurate customs data is essential.

With the SKU Library, you can:

• Store essential product details such as description, weight, dimensions, tariff codes, country of origin and values.

• Automatically populate shipments, reducing data entry errors and saving valuable time.

• Enrich data from other systems via API or CSV imports – if product information is missing, Shipmate will pull the details from your SKU Library.

• Generate despatch notes and picking lists using SKU details, including picking locations and product images.

• Upload images to help quickly identify products and improve clarity across your team.

• Sample SKUs – New to the SKU Library? Get a feel for how SKUs work by exploring sample entries that demonstrate best practices.


• Duplicate SKUs – Save time by duplicating existing SKUs when adding similar products, then make quick edits to customise.

Inline Editing – Add and update SKUs faster than ever with a more intuitive, inline editing experience. No more navigating away from your list – just click, edit and save.
