Introducing IP Allowlist for Enterprise customers

Security is a top priority for our team – and we're excited to announce the release of a powerful new feature available exclusively to our Enterprise customers: IP Allowlist.

What Is IP Allowlist?

IP Allowlist provides functionality for Enterprise administrators to define a specific set of IP addresses from which their Shipmate account can be accessed. Once configured, any attempt to log in or interact with the account from an unapproved IP address will be automatically blocked.

This added layer of protection helps ensure that all activity on your account comes from your trusted IT estate – such as your office network, VPN, application servers or trusted cloud providers.

Full Control, Your Way

Administrators can now enforce IP-based restrictions across key areas of the Shipmate platform:

• Web Portal (login & every page view)

• API Applications (including Desktop Apps)

• Windows / Mac Desktop Applications
  

Whether your team accesses Shipmate through a browser, Shipping API integration, or our desktop printer app, you’re now in full control of where access is allowed.

This feature is ideal for companies that:

• Operate from centralised locations

• Require strict internal IT policies

• Need to ensure API requests originate only from approved servers or systems

Unauthorised attempts will be met with a 403 Forbidden response and a clear, user-friendly message in the UI – so there's no confusion.

How to Get Started

IP Allowlist is now available to all Enterprise plans. You can find the new configuration options under your Account Security Settings. From there, simply add your approved IP addresses and start securing your account today. Read more about IP Allowlist in our User Guides.

What’s Next?
